About Musings

Musings is a collection of 14 pieces for piano, composed by Ilio Barontini & Andrea Balzani. This work is a sort of continuation of the synergy between Balzani's musical ideas and the perfected piano composing offered to them by Maestro Ilio Barontini. The story of their collaboration began with the 24 pieces of Experience (see details about Experience here). 

This collection offers piano teachers and students the chance to focus on the development of an original way of playing, because the atmospheres of the various pieces require subtle and refined agogics and dynamics, besides a masterly use of pedaling techniques.

Musings points out how music is capable of making you travel with your mind. Music interpretation can free us from excessive thinking and take us on a journey towards the undiscovered lands of imagination.
