Tears of Joy, from Life Is Love [Digital Sheet Music]
Tears of Joy is taken from Life Is Love, a piano collection by Francesco Digilio & Ilio Barontini.
About Life Is Love
Since the 70s, furniture music has been very common and so it is now, in many everyday environments. Ilio Barontini and Francesco Digilio want to shake us out of our torpor through waves of emotions.
According to Francesco Digilio, life is love. In this vision, he has composed a sort of sound diary containing the whole range of human feelings.
With his experience as an interpreter of every kind of music, Ilio Barontini has given a pianistic language to Digilio’s songs: at first, he improvised on them, then he has written new sound textures fed by the sap of the classical-romantic tradition. This creative project stemmed from the encounter between the two musicians and from their desire to work on a new contemporary piano language. They have thus produced a short circuit between Digilio’s subjective musical experience and Barontini’s historical-aesthetic values of the piano, giving the instrument a new voice capable of comforting, telling, involving and linking us to the sound of the soul.
